SAVE’s 40-Hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training meets state guidelines. Completion of the training earns you a Domestic Violence Counselor Certificate in the state of California. SAVE holds this training twice a year. Please note that trainees must attend ALL sessions in full to receive their certificate. Why take the training? Please select the tier that fits your connection to our mission: Volunteering Participants – $100 Enroll at a discounted rate of $100 Commit to 150 volunteer hours with SAVE over at least 6 months Volunteer service must begin within one month of completing training Partial scholarships may be available Payment is due upon acceptance and must be paid in full before training This reduced rate helps cover materials and facilitation costs. Ideal for individuals ready to give back through ongoing, meaningful volunteer service. Community Member Participants – $350 Enroll at the standard partner rate of $350 Designed for school staff, agency collaborators, and service providers Volunteering is encouraged but not required Preference is given to members of SAVE partner agencies Limited number of spaces available for this tier per session Payment is due upon acceptance and must be paid in full before training Payment plans may be arranged in advance This discounted rate supports collaboration and helps expand community capacity to respond to domestic violence. Optional: Pay the full rate ($500) to help SAVE subsidize volunteer participation and survivor services. General Public – $500 Enroll at the full training rate of $500 No volunteer or agency affiliation required Open to anyone interested in learning, growing, or pursuing certification Ideal for individuals seeking professional development or personal education Your participation at this level directly supports SAVE’s mission and expands access to advocacy training across the community.
