We are thrilled to announce the inaugural performance of The Vagina Monologues on Saturday and Sunday, April 12 and 13, at Ohlone College. We invite you to take part in this impactful and significant stage play.

The Vagina Monologues is a fictional collection of narratives inspired by over 200 interviews the playwright, Eve Ensler, conducted with women of various races and ages, focusing on their relationship with their bodies. Originally staged in 1996, it captivated more than 2,000 sold-out audiences. The play serves as a means to challenge taboos and initiate conversations. Since its debut, it has been performed in every U.S. state and in 130 countries worldwide. This remarkable initiative has generated over $85 million to combat domestic violence and rape.

This play not only acts as a strong reclamation of women’s bodies, but also brings to light taboo subjects and words that many women feel ashamed or fearful to discuss. With humor, compassion, and authenticity drawn from the narratives of 200 women, “The Vagina Monologues” brilliantly unravels the complex emotions associated with sharing the experiences of womanhood.
