Walk in Services Walk-in services are available to IPV survivors Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm at our Empowerment Center. Advocates offer crisis support, safety planning, connection to resources, and a safe space to have a bite to eat, pick up some toiletries, and simply rest. Setting an appointment with an advocate is not required, but is highly encouraged to ensure prompt, smooth service. The Empowerment Center is located at 1900 Mowry Ave, Suite 201, Fremont, CA 94538. Temporary Restraining Order Assistance If you’re seeking information about or want help filing for a Temporary Restraining Order, SAVE advocates can explain the process and work with you to complete and file the necessary paperwork. SAVE advocates can NOT offer legal advice, but are here to help you navigate a process that can be intimidating and confusing. There is no court filing fee for restraining orders. Court Accompaniment Subject to advocate availability, Court Accompaniment may be provided at the Hayward Hall of Justice (Alameda County Superior Court), 24405 Amador Street, Hayward, CA. To request court accompaniment, call our 24-Hour Crisis Line at (510) 794-6055. When available, a SAVE staff member or trained volunteer will accompany you to legal proceedings. Our advocate will stay by your side and provide reassurance during your hearing. SAVE advocates are not allowed to speak on your behalf or provide legal advice, but having a SAVE representative with you can help you feel confident, focused, and empowered. Counseling Services Group Support If you have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV), you may be feeling depressed and frustrated. Your self-esteem may be low and you may also feel isolated from family, friends, and your community. Please know that you are not alone and SAVE is here to help. Our free group support options can help you build tools, gain perspective, connect with other survivors, and improve your self-image. Individual Counseling SAVE’s individual counseling is free, confidential, and available to IPV survivors across all gender identities. Sessions are provided by supervised Marriage and Family Therapist candidates and are available by appointment Mon-Sat at our Empowerment Center and remotely. Call 510-794-6055 to request a referral. Shelter and Housing Assistance Safe House SAVE’s Safe House offers emergency shelter and case management for IPV survivors fleeing abuse. Call 510-794-6055 to inquire about availability. If the shelter is full, a SAVE advocate can offer alternative resources. Housing First Program If you are at the point in your housing journey where you’re seeking help obtaining or maintaining your housing, SAVE’s DV Housing First Program may be able to help.
